Description Jonas Stein gentoo-dev 2017-05-22 00:28:46 UTC
"GIMP provides top-notch color management features to ensure high-fidelity color reproduction across digital and printed media. It is best used in workflows involving other free software such as Scribus, Inkscape, and SwatchBooker."
source: https://www.gimp.org/

SwatchBooker reads and writes color swatches (color palettes) from and to all major open and closed source graphic programs and standards like
Pantone CMYK (bridge/process guides only), sRGB, Lab, RAL sRGB...

Requirements:
    Python
    PyQT4
    LittleCMS + bindings for Python
    Python Imaging Library (PIL) (for 0.8)

On upstream suggests for debian:
    python-qt4 (>= 4.6) python-liblcms (>= 1.18) and python-imaging (>= 1.1.7-2)

"SwatchBooker has a very limited purpose: help the transition to free software by allowing users to access their proprietary palettes. It is a palette convertor."
