please also consult the gentoo support channels for help https://www.gentoo.org/support/ No build log and no crash log? What does "hangs system" mean? (In reply to Jeroen Roovers from comment #2) > No build log and no crash log? What does "hangs system" mean? No build log and no crash log because (as I think I wrote) the whole system hangs (completely) while performing the setup phase - even if I do it manually (as in, ebuild setup ...). If you can please suggest a way to produce a log or to debug what the heck is going on, considering that the system hangs hard and doesn't sync anything to disk nor outputs anything worth it to screen... Aaaaand same happens with 384.59-r1. aaaand same happens with 384.59-r1 and I still don't have a clue on how to debug or log what's happening. New detail: system hang seems to happen only if xdm is running. (In reply to Stefano from comment #3) > the whole system hangs (completely) while performing the setup phase I really can't help you with that. I suggest checking for filesystem errors might help, but I can't think how this problem would be inherent in the nvidia-drivers build system or in the eclass. |
