no, actually, it shouldn't. Gentoo policy is to not touch things in /etc. portage doesn't remove files in dirs that are in CONFIG_PROTECT you can add /etc/init.d/ to CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK to have it remove them anyway please read the gentoo handbook for more information http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=2&chap=4 |
