i found this during emerge -e, and apparently 3.3.7 is already installed, why would it die when i try to emerge it again? maybe you should try re-emerging it without distcc? i will try.. there are no other nodes though, so it's just a local compile really Please post the whole emerge log. removed distcc (despite lack of other nodes), did emerge -C vnc, emerge sync, emerge vnc, (same version) and it actually worked... how strange. you still want the emerge.log? I can no longer reproduce this bug, and I think it just went away.after i removed distcc. For those reasons, I am closing this bug. I have this problem as well. I don't use distcc. The problem appeared when I changed to gcc 3.4. Hmm, apparently somebody else has this problem, too... http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=66030 I have the same problem, going back to gcc i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.5-20050130 solve the problem, perhaps vnc need a change to compile with gcc 3.4 !!!! |
