amdgpu-tahiti-hdmi-CEA-infoframe-packets.patch

On installing an XFX R7950, with 1 direct HDMI (card) to HDMI (monitor) connection an old (kernel 2.6+) issue returned for me:

A vertical line of 2 pixels on the left of the screen, and a resolution of 1922x1200 as reported by the monitor, whilst X reports 1920x1200.

After a log of digging I found this bug report:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27452

Apparently there is an issue with HDMI and audio, and the packets received over HDMI by the monitor.

I have ported the same patch from radeon to amdgpu, and all seems to work here. I don't have any other video cards lying around to test this more extensively, and currently my desktop machines are all bleeding edge with silly compiler flags enabled. Might this be interesting for the experimental patches? Or should this be reported upstream?

Is this still an issue with more recent kernels?
