It would be useful if emerge could log to syslog, not just to local file. This would allow people to collect the emerge.logs via remote syslog'ing and process them on a central machine.

This is regarding emerge.log, not e{info,warn,error}.

depends on what logging we're talking about ;)
emerge.log != elog

Not going to spend time on this. If someone wants to provide a patch I'll look at it though.
