log for attempted qt-3.3.3 emerge
From my reading of the emerge log, it looks like the problem is with compiling MySQL support into qt. I have mysql installed on my computer, but the server (mysqld) was not running on my computer at the time of the emerge. I tried the emerge with "-mysql" USE flag, and I got the following error: g++ -c -pipe -fno-exceptions -Wall -W -O2 -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DQT_SHARED -DQT_TABLET_SUPPORT -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGE_FILES -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DQT_NO_XINERAMA -DQT_DLOPEN_OPENGL -DQT_BUILTIN_GIF_READER=1 -DQT_NO_STYLE_MAC -DQT_NO_STYLE_AQUA -DQT_NO_STYLE_INTERLACE -DQT_NO_STYLE_WINDOWSXP -DQT_NO_STYLE_COMPACT -DQT_NO_STYLE_POCKETPC -I/var/tmp/portage/qt-3.3.3/work/qt-x11-free-3.3.3/mkspecs/linux-g++ -I. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I3rdparty/opentype -I../include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I.moc/release-shared-mt/ -o .obj/release-shared-mt/qthread_unix.o kernel/qthread_unix.cpp g++ -c -pipe -fno-exceptions -Wall -W -O2 -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DQT_SHARED -DQT_TABLET_SUPPORT -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGE_FILES -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DQT_NO_XINERAMA -DQT_DLOPEN_OPENGL -DQT_BUILTIN_GIF_READER=1 -DQT_NO_STYLE_MAC -DQT_NO_STYLE_AQUA -DQT_NO_STYLE_INTERLACE -DQT_NO_STYLE_WINDOWSXP -DQT_NO_STYLE_COMPACT -DQT_NO_STYLE_POCKETPC -I/var/tmp/portage/qt-3.3.3/work/qt-x11-free-3.3.3/mkspecs/linux-g++ -I. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I3rdparty/opentype -I../include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I.moc/release-shared-mt/ -o .obj/release-shared-mt/qabstractlayout.o kernel/qabstractlayout.cpp g++ -c -pipe -fno-exceptions -Wall -W -O2 -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DQT_SHARED -DQT_TABLET_SUPPORT -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGE_FILES -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DQT_NO_XINERAMA -DQT_DLOPEN_OPENGL -DQT_BUILTIN_GIF_READER=1 -DQT_NO_STYLE_MAC -DQT_NO_STYLE_AQUA -DQT_NO_STYLE_INTERLACE -DQT_NO_STYLE_WINDOWSXP -DQT_NO_STYLE_COMPACT -DQT_NO_STYLE_POCKETPC -I/var/tmp/portage/qt-3.3.3/work/qt-x11-free-3.3.3/mkspecs/linux-g++ -I. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I3rdparty/opentype -I../include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I.moc/release-shared-mt/ -o .obj/release-shared-mt/qucomextra.o kernel/qucomextra.cpp g++ -c -pipe -fno-exceptions -Wall -W -O2 -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DQT_SHARED -DQT_TABLET_SUPPORT -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGE_FILES -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DQT_NO_XINERAMA -DQT_DLOPEN_OPENGL -DQT_BUILTIN_GIF_READER=1 -DQT_NO_STYLE_MAC -DQT_NO_STYLE_AQUA -DQT_NO_STYLE_INTERLACE -DQT_NO_STYLE_WINDOWSXP -DQT_NO_STYLE_COMPACT -DQT_NO_STYLE_POCKETPC -I/var/tmp/portage/qt-3.3.3/work/qt-x11-free-3.3.3/mkspecs/linux-g++ -I. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I3rdparty/opentype -I../include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I.moc/release-shared-mt/ -o .obj/release-shared-mt/qaccel.o kernel/qaccel.cpp g++: Internal error: Killed (program cc1plus) Please submit a full bug report. ERROR: x11-libs/qt-3.3.3 failed. !!! Function src_compile, Line 121, Exitcode 2 !!! (no error message) Turns out that there were general problems with my system unrelated to the qt emerge. I received random error messages whenever I tried to do anything. So, I restarted my computer, fixed some file system errors, and then the qt emerge worked no problem. Sorry about the erroneous bug report. |
