Dinesh, Any clue as to whats going on here? I removed you from the mirror listing on our website temporarily until we can resolve this issue. (http or ftp) I was not able to reproduce the problem, how often does it happen? Can you include the first 200 bytes of the file that got corrupted? Thanks, Dan ok, I found the problem. Recently a HTTP protection device was put in front of this subnet. This was returning the 205-byte HTML page. I have now removed the mirror's IP from this device, and HTTP transfers from outside our network work now. Please let me know if you have any further concerns. File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//glibc-2.3.2.tar.bz2 this seems to be caused by a broken redirection (first 200 bytes of file are html) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. add datapipe.net to mirrors 2. emerge -f anything 3. Actual Results: very often the md5 sums mismatch This problem has randomly appeared over the last few days.
