One suggestion I might offer is to try emerging it USE=-doc as the error you got is in the javadoc generation. [I didn't have any problem with this, but it's worth a try] In a related note, I've been tracking CVS for this for a while, and am working on ebuilds for java-gnome 2.8.2 as the moment. The 2.8 release series fixed a huge pile of bugs, so hopefully you'll have better luck with them. The catch is they also changed the internal layout quite a bit, so it's taking a bit of doing to get the ebuilds right. AfC I have this same problem. I have tryed the USE="-doc" and then emerge java-gnome but it still fails with the same error. I followed up with Cookie personally; he ended up trying the new java-gnome 2.8.2 ebuilds, and they worked for him. Might want to try there. [java-gnome 2.6.x upstream is buggy as hell, so we should just deprecate it and be done wit it] AfC Since you're our official java-gnome maintainer, I'm shuffling this your way now. Unless anyone objects, I'm going to close this. With Gnome 2.8 stable, there is no longer any reason for java-gnome 2.6 to be around. As mentioned, it's broken as all hell anyway. Bitch at me in the next 24 hours if you disagree... AfC Grr. I need more permissions in this bugzilla to actually close bugs. One of these days I'll need to finish that damn quiz. "Closing" per agreement from user. AfC |
