Tobias, thanks for the report. Generally a test failure does not block a security issue. As stated in the test-suite.log, can you post /var/tmp/portage/app-arch/libarchive-3.2.2-r1/temp/bsdtar_test.2017-02-15T13.06.18-000 ? I will forward it upstream. Created attachment 463850 [details]

Added test suite.
Created attachment 463912 [details, diff] Upstream patch I've tried the attached patch extracted from upstream, and it makes the test suite work on Alpha. However, libarchive then runs into the same too-long-paths problem (bug 598806) again. |
