It seems the optional gnome support is relying on completely dead libgnomeui and libglade libs... is it really important or could it be disabled?

Well, without it, mdbtools will lose its GUI(which is still alpha, though)

Sorry for the delay in working on this, I hope this patch does the job. (I don't have a gnome system so I never tested the gnome options anyway.)
