I'm not sure I understand you correctly. libsdl2-2.0.5 is already available in Gentoo. It's just not yet stable. So what do you want from this bug? libsdl2-2.0.5 being stabilized or something else? Sorry for the confusion. I definitely explained myself incorrectly due to misunderstanding I had. I thought that the upstream 2.0.5 source code is different from what we have on Gentoo mirrors. They in fact are identical. The bug fixes I am talking about are contained in the latest (development) branch in their code repository. I guess until the next release is available users can download the latest sources from the upstream and use epatch in order to backport those fixes. So we need to wait until upstream does a new release. |
