thanks for the report, I've dropped the dependency see https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=4a75ac409d736764d64327f86d6e2ac8ae86a0bd |
Created attachment 459186 [details] emerge --info app-i18n/libpinyin-1.0.0 pulls sys-libs/db:4.8 with this snippet of ebuild: RDEPEND="sys-libs/db:4.8 dev-libs/glib:2" even if the ebuild uses the most recent version of sys-libs/db to build anyway. Possible solutions: * if app-i18n/libpinyin-1.0.0 requires sys-libs/db:4.8 to function properly, it should build against the right version requested by ebuild; * if app-i18n/libpinyin-1.0.0 works fine withe the latest sys-libs/db, dependency on the specific 4.8 slot should be dropped. app-i18n/libpinyin-1.0.0 builds fine with sys-libs/db:5.3, though I haven't tested it thouruoghly.
