I just announced the new version of KPA, cf. https://www.kphotoalbum.org/news/?item=0093#item0093 .

There's one notable change that probably should be reflected in the ebuild. We did not remove the face management, but we determined that it's not really ready for the masses, yet. The current default build procedure does not compile the respective code. If one wants the face management, the "ENABLE_PLAYGROUND" cmake flag has to be set.

I suggest that the "face" USE flag stays, but becomes disabled by default. If one sets it manually, the "ENABLE_PLAYGROUND" cmake flag should be set and the respective dependencies should be pulled.
