I have a stable system (three actually) running gentoo hardened, and not having this problem (gcc-4.9.4 like you reported). Your kernel is 4.8, while amd64 hardened-sources stable is 4.7.10. I don't expect this to be the problem, but may I ask what glibc you have installed (if at all)? sys-libs/glibc-2.22-r4 sys/wait.h here has: /* Lots of hair to allow traditional BSD use of `union wait' as well as POSIX.1 use of `int' for the status word. */ Examining tcsh-6.20.00 I see this particular bit changed. Could you test 6.20 to see if it solves the compilation failure for you? It's planned for stabilisation in a bit less than a month. (In reply to Fabian Groffen from comment #7) yes, compiled fine at that image today. fixed in 6.20, up for stabilisation really soon. |
