For me it fixed the issue on all my machines and also seems to induce no problems on older systems For me the attached patch fixes the problem. The patch was meanwhile also committed upstream [1]. merged the new contact to metadata.xml so it does not block 633310 anymore commit 6eaf98856d587df4c23cfb8b2a732a59e03dff93 tested the attached patch and successfully built references using gcc-7.1.0 I created a pull request on github to make it easier to merge this.
