x11-drivers:xf86-video-ati-7.7.1:20161116-012507.log
I have the same issue. Same problem. It happens after the upgrade to xorg-server-1.19.0 (or maybe just x11-proto/xproto-7.0.31). It seems like the 7.7 branch is missing: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/commit/?id=eac4db4f0cb22a23d6e69161dcaacc7d53978aae (In reply to Jonathan Hamilton from comment #7) > It seems like the 7.7 branch is missing: > > https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/commit/ > ?id=eac4db4f0cb22a23d6e69161dcaacc7d53978aae https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/commit/?id=024afff27eb9f4c60043214099ddb42bbfb3d289 also looks required Confirmed that the suggested patches work. All seems well here, thanks. This is not a GCC 6 issue since I'm hitting it and I'm running GCC 5.4 peter@skare ~ $ gcc --version gcc (Gentoo 5.4.0 p1.0, pie-0.6.5) 5.4.0 Copyright (C) 2015 Free Software Foundation, Inc. This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Updating to the version 7.8.0 solves the issue too. I just renamed the ebuild, and it's working pretty well here. commit e5bff6448ae4615ffe824a2a4a76e53a611e9146 Author: Lars Wendler <polynomial-c@gentoo.org> Date: Thu Nov 17 16:03:21 2016 x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati: Bump to version 7.8.0 Package-Manager: portage-2.3.2 |
