build.log

Hi,

While stabilizing gnome-3.20 on ia64 platform, gst-plugins-good-1.8.3 fails to emerge with FEATURES=test. This is a regression from gst-plugins-good-0.10.31-r2.

From build.log and tests/check/test-suite.log, there's no unique root cause to these failures:

FAIL: elements/alpha

FAIL elements/rtpaux (exit status: 1)

Please let me know how I can help diagnose further.

Thanks,

That doesn't say much, there's like 5 years apart and a completely different SLOT. Is it a regression over ancient stable ia64 gst-plugins-good-1.4.5 or some 1.6 version?
At least the first error smells ia64 specific, maybe I can look at any relevant changes while working through some security bugs now.

media-libs/gst-plugins-good-1.10.3 fails elements/alpha (only) on arm as well.

I understand, but only gst-plugins-good-{1.8|1.10} are still in portage tree. Older versions have been removed, so it's hard to answer your question here.

That's fine then, the main point was that "regression over 0.10.x" didn't tell me anything. So I presume 1.10.4 is failing too on ia64?

Yes, except that elements/rtpaux now passes fine:

Sorry this hasn't gotten a fix back then. By now this is a very old version and
I can't reproduce this with current versions. Please file a new bug if you
still encounter issues.
