net-misc/networkmanager has an unstated dependency on libuuid.so from sys-apps/util-linux. This is not apparent until attempting to merge it with USE=abi_x86_32 whereupon the build will fail trying to locate uuid with pkg-config.

USE flags were "cxx threads xml"

Sorry, that was replied on the wrong bug. networkmanager USE flags were "bluetooth consolekit dhclient gnutls ncurses"
