Solution emerge boost: [ebuild R ] dev-libs/boost-1.61.0-r1 USE="nls threads -context -debug -doc -icu -mpi -python -static-libs -tools" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7 python3_4 -python3_5" Perhaps interestingly, I had this very problem and already had dev-libs/boost installed. However *re-installing* boost appears to have solved the problem, though I have no idea why. (In reply to Bugsie from comment #0) > Solution was to simply install boost.
