kmail could not lock in /var/spool/mail I don't think procmail should be a hard dependency, it is only needed if you enable the "Procmail lockfile" locking method, and that is mainly useful if you already have procmail installed and use it to manage your local mailbox... I agree with Gregorio, this shouldn't be a hard dep. As for an optional dep, I always feel a bit silly adding a local use flag that does nothing beyond adding a dep, and doesn't affect the built program in any way... Does it even make sense to use this if you don't already have procmail installed? Presumably other apps would need procmail's lockfile to participate in the locking scheme, too. I think we should close this. Closing for now. We can reopen in future if we get more requests for it. |
