Bug 59143

Summary: MIT-Scheme installs properly but when invoked crashes, complaining it can't load libSM.so
Product: Gentoo Linux Reporter: Tyson Burghardt <tysonburghardt>
Component: [OLD] DevelopmentAssignee: Scheme Project <scheme>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: major
Priority: High
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Whiteboard:
Package list:
Runtime testing required: ---

Description Tyson Burghardt 2004-08-02 07:09:29 UTC
MIT-Scheme is emerged properly, no errors I could see. Trying to invoke it just brings the error message about libSM.so, which so far as I know doesn't exist on my system or in Portage (tried qpkg -fp libSM*). As this is a binary package it's probably a bad commit on the distributor's part, but I can't be sure.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge mit-scheme
2. scheme
3. problem

Actual Results:
Did not start; complained that libSM.so did not exist

Expected Results:
started up a scheme read-print-eval loop

+ dev-lisp herd in metadata.xml is neither a valid herd or bugzie alias.
