Description Vadim A. Misbakh-Soloviov (mva) gentoo-dev 2016-07-21 16:22:16 UTC
Could you, please, port postgresql ebuild to support multilib builds?
Comment 1 Ian Stakenvicius (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2016-07-22 14:28:31 UTC
I'm a heavy postgresql user, I can likely take this one.

Just to confirm, though, what 32bit binary apps do you need 32bit postgres for? I'd like to have something to test with.
Comment 2 Vadim A. Misbakh-Soloviov (mva) gentoo-dev 2016-07-22 16:22:35 UTC
[just to note: already discussed with axs on IRC]
Comment 3 Aaron W. Swenson gentoo-dev 2016-08-01 11:35:21 UTC
Without having anything clearly requiring, or benefiting from, a multilib install, I am disinclined to support the work to go into it.

I understand you have discussed this with Mr. Stakenvicius via IRC, but please share you answer with the rest of us.

Sorry, thought this was already mentioned. There are some proprietary binary 33but apps that he needs libpq.so for.

This will be slow gong for me to accomplish; just because I need time to learn the ins and outs of the build system, to just build what is needed for libpq on the alt abi.
