Trying to emerge app-emulation/virtualbox-5.1.0 USE="alsa java opengl pam python qt5 sdk udev vboxwebsrv vnc -debug -doc -headless -libressl -lvm -pulseaudio"

yielded an error:
 /usr/lib64/qt5/bin/lrelease: Command not found

Which is found in dev-qt/linguist-tools.

Thanks for the report. Missing build-time depndencies are hard to catch if they are already installed on the target system.
