I have /tmp as a distinct ext3 partition an I use gpg-agent (app-crypt/newpg-0.9.4-r1) and ssh-agent, both started from $HOME/.xinitrc.

upon poweroff/reboot I allways get the 'Give root password for maintenance' prompt.

after examination using lsof I have seen that both ssh-agent and gpg-agent were still using the /tmp filesystem after the fuser instruction from the halt.sh script.

if I create an init script that does a `killall ssh-agent; killall gpg-agent` before halt.sh, then the poweroff/halt is successful and without problems.

I am not sure if this is a bug in fuser or in initscripts ...
