This is needed to have thunar-archive-plugin detect ark:

ln -s ark.tap /usr/libexec/thunar-archive-plugin/org.kde.ark.tap


Similar issue was in bug 553722 - but looks like kde-apps/ark was changed since what time, and now it installs /usr/share/applications/org.kde.ark.desktop (basename of .tap and .desktop files should be the same, see http://git.xfce.org/thunar-plugins/thunar-archive-plugin/tree/README).
