I had the same issue - FWIW, seems to build fine with: MAKEOPTS="-j1 -l1" emerge -av1 dev-util/coccinelle I didn't investigate the build-system further - but it seems to be a missing dependency breaking parallel-make. Created attachment 439738 [details]

If I run
MAKEOPTS="-j1 -l1" emerge -av1 dev-util/coccinelle
then I get another error (see full log attached):

Problem is fixed in 1.0.6, please bump coccinelle to fix this problem.
