Created attachment 438260 [details] stage3.log Here is a tail of the stage3.log file created during the process: # https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Prefix/Bootstrap export EPREFIX="/scratch/mmokrejs/gentoo" wget http://rsync.prefix.bitzolder.nl/scripts/bootstrap-prefix.sh bash ./bootstrap-prefix.sh I encountered the same problem. we've moved on to python 3.8.6, would have to revisit this on your platform |
Created attachment 438256 [details] build.log Hi, I am trying to build a Gentoo Prefix amd64 through ./bootstrap-prefix.sh . I'm not certain the build.log shows the real error, I think the issue is that chown() failed because I run the bootstrapping as a user, and obviously, cannot give away permission of the files I created. Why python-3.5.1 was selected for me when bootstrapping a compile environment, I do not know yet but it sounds weird.
