As a suggestion, and as mentioned here: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.pulseaudio.general/25805, webrtc-audio-processing 2.0 brings a breaking new API, but it's only supported by RC versions of Pulseaudio and future releases. As being the 8.0 release the latest version in Gentoo ebuilds, if anybody upgrades webrtc-audio-processing 2.0, it won't build. So while pulseaudio 8.0 is being the latest version available, webrtc-audio-processing 2.0 would be masked until a future version of Pulseaudio is available.
