Well... qtiplot upstream decided some time ago that they don't particularly like the GPL. For any 0.9.9 version, no source code is available for download, and the only free download is a runtime-limited binary, as far as I know without import/export filters. As someone with a site license (not my decision to buy it) and access to the binary, I asked the author for a copy of the sources some time ago, and got a refusal. So this is most likely a 'cantfix'. Oh and any version that I checked still links statically to the Gnu Scientific Library ( http://www.gnu.org/software/gsl/ ). Ok, thanks for the cantfix. That make the situation clear enough. Maybe Gentoo should drop the package or fix it since it doesnt compile. I shall fill a bug on the subject. Since the topic of removal has already come up, and this will be blocking us from dropping Qt4 in the near future, adding treecleaners as next stepp. This is the only rdep of dev-libs/quazip[qt4].
