Updated version of the patch for latest gtk3
A friend prepared a patch for the latest version of GTK3, posting as per his request.
USE flag this patch adds is not enabled by default, so merging it will only affect people who explicitly opt into using it.

version for /etc/portage/patches/x11-libs/gtk+:3
This is a version of the patch we can put directly in /etc/portage/patches/x11-libs/gtk+:3
Tested fine with x11-libs/gtk+-3.24.38::gentoo
And I agree, the original behaviour of that widget is the most annoying "feature" of this toolkit.
We aren't going to be adding custom behavior changing patches to old slots of GTK (or new ones, but with old ones we'd be stuck with them forever). |
