can you check with lxde-base/lxdm-0.5.3-r1? The "good" news is that there is no longer that line in /var/log/messages (seems there is a tendency to log less information now, which is not helpful :( ). The bad news is I still can't log in (just get returned to the greeter screen as before). I have determined it is (now, at least) not related to consolekit, though. I get the same behavior whether lxdm was compiled with USE=consolekit or USE=-consolekit. I don't need to do anything other than change DISPLAYMANAGER="xdm" to DISPLAYMANAGER="lxdm" in /etc/conf.d/xdm, do I? No more consolekit |
