I am missing dosfsck in sys-fs/dosfstools-4.0:

You are probably looking for USE=compat.

compat : Install symlinks for legacy names of the tools

Mike is correct -- this is WAI assuming you built with USE=-compat (which is hard to tell as you didn't attach build logs to your report like all are supposed to)

Thanks to SpanKY and Mike Gilbert, the missing compat USE flag for dosfstools was the reason. With compat I have now again dosfsck.
