After installation of =dev-java/icedtea-bin-7.2.6.6-r1 I see the following QA Notices:

 * QA Notice: Symbolic link /opt/icedtea-bin-7.2.6.6/jre/bin/javaws points to /usr/libexec/icedtea-web/javaws which does not exist.

Probably, package should not try to install broken symbolic links.
Although, application, for which I've installed dev-java/icedtea-bin[nss] works.
