I should add, radio buttons have same issue - only internal dot is shown, without circle around it. I've just tried to run firefox without ~/.mozilla/ at all, and noticed this issue with radio buttons in "import profile" dialog shown on first run (so it's 100% unrelated to website styles/CSS or my own settings), and then confirmed it at http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_forms.asp. Not sure is this important, but I'm using fluxbox, so maybe some updates related to recent KDE libs upgrade wasn't completely applied or there is some other general configuration issue related to GTK or QT on my system. Or not, because I see checkboxes in Pidgin and Okular menus/dialogs, so probably with GTK and QT everything is fine. try changing gtk2 and gtk3 theme to something *not* Breeze (or Breeze-Dark) then rebooting. (In reply to Alex Xu (Hello71) from comment #2) > try changing gtk2 and gtk3 theme to something *not* Breeze (or Breeze-Dark) > then rebooting. I have never used Breeze, I use Clearlooks. But I've tried to "preview" all of them some time (long time, about a year) ago. Anyway, I don't have Breeze even in themes list, so it probably not installed at all. I've just re-emerged firefox with USE=force-gtk2 - and this helps, now everything looks like before (there were several other issues which looks like bad design - white background in popup menu, no free space between elements and borders of "save as" dialog window, etc. - all these things are now fixed too). So, is there any way to fix/reset my gtk3 settings, or I should just use gtk2 for firefox? I can confirm this issue. Happens since I first built firefox with gtk3. I tried all the themes available (Adwaita, Default, Emacs, HighContrast, Raleigh), all are affected. There are other issues like labels in menus/dialogs/... rendered in too light colour and scrollbar handles are invisible (and some more). This might be related to the changes gtk+-3.20 introduced to the theme engine. @Alex Efros: which gtk3-version do you have installed? (In reply to Franz Fellner from comment #4) > @Alex Efros: which gtk3-version do you have installed? x11-libs/gtk+-3.18.7 I've just re-installed www-client/firefox-46.0 (automatically while emerge -uDNav world). While version of ebuild is exactly same, there are some changes: it doesn't have USE force-gtk2 and it doesn't have issue mentioned in this bug report when built with (default) gtk3 (USE gtk2 is disabled). According to comment #6 the bug is no longer reproducible after the reporter re-emerged www-client/firefox. I am changing RESOLVED status from NEEDINFO to OBSOLETE to get this bug out of the "NEEDINFO" list which helps us to track bugs where user submitted the requested information but forgotten to re-open the bug. |
