Possible the issue is not in «Unsupported JDK version», but in incorrect version-check for 3-digit version number. Also, ebuild contains incorrectly described dependencies: With RDEPEND=">=virtual/jdk-1.7.0… Today after --depclean removed =dev-java/icedtea-bin-7.2.6.5 I've find *stable* sqldeveloper inoperable, because of incompatible java vm. More correct description would be something like RDEPEND="virtual/jdk:1.7… dev-db/sqldeveloper-4.0.2.15.21 is not in the tree anymore. Is the problem still present in the latest version in our tree? (In reply to Jonas Stein from comment #3) > dev-db/sqldeveloper-4.0.2.15.21 is not in the tree anymore. > Is the problem still present in the latest version in our tree? For now I had to switch to dev-java/oracle-jdk-bin. =dev-db/sqldeveloper-4.2.0.17.089.1709 starts clearly. P.S. But it already requires «JDK 8 or above». P.P.S. Portage provides far not latest upstream version of dev-db/sqldeveloper. For now the latest upstream version is SQL Developer 18.1 (Version 18.1.0.095.1630) released on April 5, 2018. |
