Some more information: * I also cannot start firefox in the other direction, switching SSH client and server (both machines have desktop environment, they don't share home directories). * I installed firefox-bin-44.0.2 on another machine (a server that is not used for desktop applications) and can launch it in an SSH session -- everything fine. * Using that firefox-44.0.2 on the problematic machine (via binary package) results in no browser-window. I would advise troubleshooting in IRC, on forums or on the ML. Bugzilla isn't a good place to get tech support. Feel free to re-open the bug after troubleshooting fails (indicating there is a bug, rather than a quirk with your system config). |
