I have got the same problem today when I have tried to install Gentoo on a new Lenovo ThinkPad P50. Please add the support for NVMe block devices on the Live-CD as soon as possible. Kind regards, Thomas Same problem here on a new DELL XPS. How can this bug be confirmed (apart from being obvious)? Please add this module to the install CD. (In reply to Thomas from comment #2) > How can this bug be confirmed (apart from being obvious)? $ grep -i nvme releases/weekly/kconfig/amd64/installcd-3.18.12.config # CONFIG_BLK_DEV_NVME is not set $ grep -i nvme releases/weekly/kconfig/amd64/admincd-3.18.9.config CONFIG_BLK_DEV_NVME=m This means I've enabled it for the admin-cd, but not for the install-cd. I need to update the kernel config for the install-cd and get a new ISO built. In the meantime, you could use the admin-cd[1] to test if you can access your SSD.
