I'd be willing to look if you can hack together an ebuild for it. Created attachment 36130 [details]
bzip2:ed media-sound/cantus
Patched the build.sh to install gnome-help in ${D}
Dependencies need to be fixed, don't know if the correct taglib is in portage.
Thanks for the ebuild. I'd like to see this in Portage. Errr. It doesn't work: # Checking prerequired libraries. #################################################################### Error: gtkmm-2.0 required but not installed. Please install the gtkmm-2.0 library's development package first. Error: libglademm-2.0 required but not installed. Please install the libglademm-2.0 library's development package first. I've got gtkmm and libglademm 2.4 from portage installed. please only text attachments, sounds like the gtkmm deps are not strict enough. Also this package wasn't included in 2.8 because it was considered a mess by most. So when will this be considered as acceptable in portage? I used the attached ebuild and it seems to work just fine for me. A bit more testing (by others) would be nice though. sound maintains this pack. current one in portage is at least broken and should not be stable. please fix the gtkmm DEPEND and attach as text/plain Yes, the cantus_2 ebuild in portage builds, but does not work at all for me. I agree it should not be stable. What's going on there? No interest in including this in portage? cantus-3.0.0 depends on depricated version of glibmm and gtkmm. I bumped the version in portage to the CVS as of today. |
