During pre-merge checks:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/5.3.0/../../../../lib64/crt1.o: In function `_start':
(.text+0x20): undefined reference to `main'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Adding -c to executions of gcc in wine_build_environment_check fixes the problem.
