Are we close there for getting a freeze fix for i915 as well, or it's not that common to happen to intel users? Though I guess other fixes might happen in xf86-video-intel or some other places too. Maybe we'll even get an upstream release of xf86-video-intel. Oh wait, whom am I kidding. https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=75eecf28ae3709181a51571132b0accd9cae316e https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=4f8151c7a4bcf2d55848e70c83b2f9ce458cf316 @Leho, could you try those patches and let us know if they work for you ? https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki//etc/portage/patches#Adding_user_patches should be supported. I already custom-patched with Chris' copy-paste patch from the fdo bug, and yes it works. These full commit patches look solid to me, too. These patches seem to resolve the issues here. xorg-server-1.18.3 includes a fix for this. |
