There is good patch available at https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Linux_Performance
Adding this patch by USE flag would be a good feature

Thanks for your bug report.

By looking at the page you've linked in your report I found the following statement:


"This patch has been added by default into 3.5.7 and all versions of Samba subsequent to this."


Since we are about to get rid of all samba versions lower than 4.2.x I don't see any reason in adding this patch. Or do I miss something here?
