Description Karol Wojtaszek (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-19 22:32:14 UTC
Version bump needed from version 2.0.7 to 2.0.9. No changes in ebuild.

ebuild for new abiword

Here is the ebuild for 2.0.9, I took out the gcc 3.4 patch because it's no
longer needed. It's marked stable on amd64 because the current "stable" abiword
on amd64 doesn't compile on an up-to-date system (tried to compile on at least
3 different systems), this one compiles fine.

I compiled the above ebuild on a ~x86 box and it's working without issues. It compiled fine and is working well.

Slightly modified ebuild for abiword-2.0.9

This ebuild fixes up a few errors in the previously posted one. As I'm not the
maintainer I can't commit this ebuild, but I'll see if I can trip him up on IRC
and get him to do it himself. Rudimentary testing has taken place on AMD64 here
- I don't have much use for a word processor though, so extensive testing just
isn't going to happen here I'm afraid :-(

Whoops, sorry, almost forgot - it appears that the bit that removes the
"-pedantic" compile flag from the configure script is now no longer necessary
either. It was also most certainly in the wrong section of the ebuild (that
lives in src_unpack). So here's a diff to show what I've done. Nothing
particularly clever, but it's certainly cleaner :-)

The ebuild seems to be working fien here

I copied the above 2.0.9 ebuild to 2.0.10 and it emerged fine for me. I've done some work in it and there aren't any issues of yet. From the changelog I gather 2.0.10 is a minor bugfix release to 2.0.9.
Comment 9 Jason Toffaletti 2004-08-16 14:52:40 UTC
I too tried renaming the 2.0.9 ebuild to 2.0.10 (I also had to change .bz2 to .gz for it to find a mirror to download from) and it compiled successfully.

well despite some serious bribing not to do it, i added 2.0.10 earlier on. I might get a hitman after me for this.

none of the proposed changes have been added : the pedantic stuff fixes problems with early gnome-vfs, it's not likely you will encounter it rob & it is done in the right place.
