Description Phil Stracchino (Unix Ronin) 2016-03-03 15:26:04 UTC
net-p2p/transmission (both current stable and unstable release) fails to build after update to dev-libs/openssl-1.0.2g because of no-longer-resolvable references to SSLv2 methods in libQtNetwork.so:

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.5/../../../../lib64/libQt5Network.so: undefined reference to `SSLv2_client_method'
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.5/../../../../lib64/libQt5Network.so: undefined reference to `SSLv2_server_method'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Comment 2 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2016-03-03 15:36:38 UTC
Just to be clear, the solution here is to recompile

  dev-qt/qtnetwork:5

package.
Comment 3 Phil Stracchino (Unix Ronin) 2016-03-03 16:13:45 UTC
Huh ... 'equery belongs' reported libQt5Network.so as belonging to dev-qt/qtcore, not dev-qt/qtnetwork. I will definitely try that approach.
