Build log on gentoo-sources-4.4.2
On gentoo-sources-4.4.2 it still fails to build, but appears to be due to a completely different issue. Build log is attached as it's longer than on hardened. Does this reproduce on 4.5? Yes, with gentoo-sources-4.5.0-r1 the same errors happen as with gentoo-sources-4.4.2 in my build log above. ...Okay, wow, I'm dumb. So when I switched to gentoo-sources to test this, I forgot to turn off the hardening "pax_kernel" use flag on ati-drivers. With that flag turned off it compiles fine against gentoo-sources. Sorry, that's my bad if it caused any confusion. However, it still fails to build against hardened-sources, with or without the pax_kernel flag on, with the errors in my original post. Just updated to kernel 4.5.2-hardened-r1. Same errors. ok, so what's the status in here? i don't think this will get any fixes assuming that ati-drivers are dead upstream I'm not sure... I've since switched to the open-source AMD drivers, so I haven't tried to build this for a while. I can only assume the issue is still there though... Marking as a duplicate of the "doesn't build against new kernels" bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 583574 *** |
