For now I'm able to compile with -j1 Due to the high severity of bug 574880 (CVE-2015-7547), we decided that this build failure should not block the security stabilization of sys-libs/glibc-2.21-r2. At the moment we have not identified the cause of this occasional build failure, but on our test systems it occurred only in rare cases. In most cases, compilation went through when we simply retried emerging the package again. We apologize for any inconvenience should this bug hit you in the stable distribution. this is not a new issue -- all glibc-2.21 versions have had this problem upstream already backported a patch, so i grabbed that: https://sources.gentoo.org/gentoo/src/patchsets/glibc/2.21/00_all_0029-Fix-parallel-build-error.patch?rev=1.1 https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=13f172f11eb1b259386de34c65d062682f353789 |
