Bug 574570 – app-shells/bash-completion-2.1_p20141224-r1 "eselect bashcomp disable" command disables also all substring commands

When I disable bash completion for gitk then bash completion for git is also disabled but eselect bashcomp list says that completion for git is enabled.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run as root: eselect bashcomp enable --global git
2. run as root: eselect bashcomp enable --global gitk
3. as a regular user type 'git com'<TAB> - the word commit appears on command line
4. run as root: eselect bashcomp disable --global gitk
5. as a regular user logout from system and login again. Then type 'git com'<TAB> on the command line. The word 'command' is not completed now.
6. as a regular user run: 'eselect bashcomp list |grep git'
Actual Results:  
In step 6 asterisk appears on the 'git' line - so git seems to be enabled but it does not work. 

Expected Results:  
When I disable bash completion for gitk command then it cannot change completion settigs for git command.

Please test the patch attached to bug #571588.

Patch provided in Bug 571588 works for me.

Thanks for testing. I'll try to wrap up a release as soon as I get home, in 5-6 hours from now.
