Description Luca Mastromatteo 2016-02-08 18:28:00 UTC
I'm writing this because I find people having troubles with bumblebee+nvidia drivers in general. On optimus-based systems.
Basically, after installing the nvidia driver, rebooting the init hangs because it tries to load the nvidia driver but they give an error (no such device) thing that in other distro does not happen, because they load anyway, but that's not the point. This could be easily resolved by adding into the bumblebee .ebuild the option to blacklist the nvidia proprietary driver since bumblebee loads it when needed. Things that other distros do, in /etc/modprobe.d/
Sorry for my bad english, hope I explained it well.
