Summarizing the Council decisions:

1. Path customization needs to be removed from the eclass (replaced by standard paths in existing EAPIs, and preferably removed in EAPI 6).

2. New ebuilds are disallowed from inheriting the eclass until 1. is fixed.

3. EAPI 6 support in eclass is forbidden until 1. is fixed.

Please let us know if you're going to fix the eclass. Otherwise, we'll deprecate it altogether not to confuse users.
