I have no idea where "USE=X" came from. That doesn't exist. Best I can tell, this has been problem with libtool for at least 9 years with no solution in sight. https://www.gnu.org/software/automake/manual/html_node/Conditional-Libtool-Libraries.html http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnutls-devel/2007-12/msg00016.html https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/llvmlinux/2013-January/000108.html There are more and more links just like these on mailing lists all over the internet. I am not sure what to do about this because it is blocking development for me. Is this a problem that will be fixed, or is this just another "well, autotools is a piece of shit" problem that wont be fixed? Honestly, nothing. I am just trying to rule out any ebuild related stuff before I send out some WAT on the libtool mailing list. Its just a bit frustrating to see errors going back to 2007 and no real solution except a lot of people saying that libtools sucks and here are tons of patches to make it work. Created attachment 425364 [details, diff] Patch After several weeks of investigating, this is is the only solution short of getting rid of libtool. This particular problem seems to have been around for a long time in some shape or form. This short article pretty much sums it up: http://www.metastatic.org/text/libtool.html (In reply to Alex Barker from comment #6) > Created attachment 425364 [details, diff] [details, diff] > Patch > > After several weeks of investigating, this is is the only solution short of > getting rid of libtool. This short article pretty much sums > it up: http://www.metastatic.org/text/libtool.html This might be the broken sysroot handling in libtool, head over to https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=572038 for info and patches Is this still an issue? |
